RACE EQUITY PROGRAMS & SERVICES
The Mid-Atlantic Equity Center provides technical assistance in the following areas pertaining to race equity issues:
- Creating more effective schools for children of diverse races, ethnicities, and cultures
- Improving school safety through prejudice reduction and anti-bias strategies
- Identifying effective instructional strategies for improving the academic achievement of minority students
- Increasing the participation of students of diverse races, ethnicities and cultures in high level, academically challenging courses and programs
- Complying with Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act
- Increasing the participation of parents of diverse races, ethnicities, and cultures in the educational process.
